| Why do you want to be Miss Ghana UK : The title of Miss Ghana UK would be the vital stepping stone as I pursue my ambitions in working with overseas development campaigns. I hope to make an active contribution to Ghanaians in the U.K. and in Ghana with regards to education and life skills. I feel that both are equally important as they empower oneself giving a sense of self reliance. | ||||

| Why do you want to be Miss Ghana UK : I want to be Miss Ghana UK 2009 as I would like the younger youth of today to be aware of the historical culture, which lies in the soil of our mother land. I feel many of us say we’re Ghanaians without knowing the true history and how we became the independent country we are today. In order to make a change to the future we must have knowledge of the past and that is what I hope to achieve if I am crowned Miss Ghana UK 2009. | ||||

| Why do you want to be Miss Ghana UK : Miss Ghana UK is not just a role model to her just her family and friends. To me she is a leader and a support to her peers. I, Alberta Teiko Asare-Agyiri am a representative of many communities, from my local home of Waltham forest to my native home of Ghana. I am using this competition as a platform to promote a profession that I am passionate about, Architecture. Working in an architectural company both in the UK and Ghana, it is apparent that Ghanaian architects do not have the same nationwide impact unlike their UK Partners; This is because of the lack of knowledge of local materials, its availability, but mainly the lack of use of architects in the construction industry. This pageant will me bring a step closer to work with representatives of the Ghana Institute of Architects to address these and several issues related to the construction industry, and to bring new ideas to promote Ghanaian architects. | ||||
